Mrs. Christine Chomos
Biography
I am so excited to be part of the Geneva County Schools. Although I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I despise the cold weather and snow. After college, I accepted my first teaching job in Hawaii. There I met my husband, who was stationed at Scholfield Barracks. The Army has moved us around the country and I have had the pleasure of teaching in Hawaii, Virginia, Illinois, Kentucky, Department of Defense Schools, Florida, and now in Alabama. I am certified in ELA, math, science, and special education and I am excited about returning to teaching math. My husband and I have two grown children. Stephen, my oldest, is a member of the Florida National Guard and is studying cybersecurity at the University of West Florida. He just recently got married and we were excited to welcome our daughter-in-law, Lydia, to the family. She is studying English at the University of West Florida. Our youngest, Abby, is a junior at Auburn University and hopes to become a trauma surgeon one day. Since retiring from the Army, my husband works at Vernon High School as a JROTC instructor. I love reading and traveling. I look forward to becoming part of the Hartford community.
