Mrs. Jessica Turley

Biography

My name is Jessica Turley and this is my third year as an English Language Arts teacher at Geneva County Middle School.  I grew up in McCalla, Alabama, which is near Birmingham. I graduated from Mcadory High School in 1995.  Then I attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham where I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2000 and my Master of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2002.  I began my teaching career in Jefferson County and then moved to Shelby County Schools.  My husband, Matt, my son, Isaac, and I moved to Dothan in 2012 and we have lived here ever since.

Since moving to Dothan, I have worked as an educator in Ozark City and Dothan City Schools.  I have had the good fortune to teach in a variety of positions, including Classroom Teacher (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades), Reading and Math Interventionist, Writing Specialist, and Reading Specialist.
